I’m an assistant professor at the School of Journalism and Communication, University of Oregon, where I teach multimedia, media entrepreneurship, and digital publishing. I began my media career at age 16 as an intern at the CBS affiliate television station in Washington, D.C. during the Watergate scandal. Shortly after completing my undergraduate degree at Emerson College, I was recruited to join the team that launched CNN as executive producer. I was later in Los Angeles for 23 years producing programs for CBS, ABC, A&E, Paramount, Disney, and Discovery.
